|The 2005 edition of the first Italian Jazz Festival in UK was somewhat an experiment and nevertheless a resounding success. The huge interest it raised on Italian Jazz was channeled in the second Edition, the Italian Jazz Festival - 2008
From the 11th to 15th of May, some of the best Bands and Artists of the Italian Jazz scene, enchanted the audience of the most prestigious Jazz Clubs in London : Ronnie's Scott, Pizza Express in Dean Street, Club 606, The Vortex, Bull'Head.
Giovanni Amato, the Deidda Brothers, Carlo Atti and Emanuele Basentini, Pippo Matino Quartet, Riccardo Biseo and Gianni Sanjust Quartet...these were some of the names that brought the distinctive Italian flavor to 5 nights of supreme jazz.
Congratulations to Italian Nights for the superb organisation. And special credits to Roberto Maranca and Lucio Carta for the overall supervision and technical expertise they provided.
And thanks to Villa Celimontana for the Artistic Direction, consultancy and artists management. Without their support and experience of 25 years of jazz festivals at the very best, all this would not have been possible.
